About the Role: Seeking a detail-oriented Endoscopy Tech or Scope Reprocessing Tech. Responsible for rendering professional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures within the Center, in accordance with established procedures.
Type: Full Time
Location: On-site in Dayton, OH
Shift: Monday - Friday (open to 4 10s or 5 8s, rotating opening/closing between 5:45AM and 6:00PM; no weekends, on-call, overnights, or holidays)
Pay: $19-22/hr
Qualifications:
Experience: Ideally looking for previous endoscopy or scope reprocessing experience
Certifications: BLS required, no specific technical certification needed
Technical Skills: EMR documentation (will train on gMed)
Knowledge: Scope reprocessing, manual cleaning of scopes, high-level disinfectant, instrument handling, and surgical room turnover procedures
Key Responsibilities:
Main responsibilities include scope reprocessing, sterilization, and assisting in OR rooms
Perform reprocessing duties including manual cleaning of scopes, high-level disinfectant application, and running scope machines for thorough cleaning
Assist physicians directly in procedure rooms (handing instruments, collecting specimens, labeling jars, etc.)
Maintain documentation in gMed EMR system
Manage cleanliness of procedure room area and assist with rapid room turnover across 3 procedure rooms running every 30 minutes
Assist with putting away medical supplies stock
Support patient transfers to cars, making beds, and general patient transport to and from procedure rooms
Function cooperatively with physicians and team members exhibiting teamwork characteristics
