We are seeking an Aerospace Quality Engineer to support quality activities within a manufacturing environment. This position will work closely with customers, engineering, manufacturing, and inspection teams to resolve quality issues and ensure products meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers regarding quality concerns, nonconforming parts, and returns
- Review and process nonconforming material and MRB items
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Complete and submit First Article Inspections (FAI)
- Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and control plan activities
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Use GD&T to understand part and inspection requirements
- Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
- Support customer and internal quality audits
- Monitor product and process quality
- Track and report quality performance
- Help improve manufacturing processes and prevent repeat quality issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, Mathematics, or related field
- 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience within aerospace manufacturing
- Knowledge of AS9100D and/or AS13100
- Experience with MRB and nonconforming material
- Experience with First Article Inspections
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, 8D, and root cause corrective action
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience working directly with customers on quality issues
- Quality or Six Sigma certifications are a plus
