Job Title: Safety Manager
Location: White Plains, NY
Pay Range: 100K – 130K
Job Description:
Our client, a leading construction management firm, is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support construction projects in the White Plains, NY area.
The Safety Manager will provide leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and oversight of project-specific safety and health programs. This individual will work closely with project leadership, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and ownership teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement site-specific safety plans in partnership with Project Managers and project leadership.
- Oversee project safety programs and coordinate safety requirements with subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, local, state, federal, company, and owner safety requirements.
- Work with project teams to identify potential hazards and develop plans to minimize jobsite risks.
- Lead accident and incident investigations and complete required reporting and documentation.
- Provide guidance on industrial hygiene requirements and perform environmental monitoring as needed.
- Conduct safety training, new-hire orientations, toolbox talks, and other project-specific safety programs.
- Monitor subcontractor safety performance and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Provide weekly project safety updates to senior safety leadership.
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Partner with field and project management teams to promote a proactive safety culture.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of construction safety or construction management experience.
- OSHA 30-hour certification/training required.
- First Aid/CPR certification required.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.
- Experience conducting jobsite inspections, safety audits, incident investigations, and employee training.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction technology platforms such as Bluebeam and Procore.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification preferred.
