  • Work closely with the fabrication shop during manufacturing to resolve design-related issues and coordinate engineering revisions to drawings and design standards as needed.
  • Support field technicians during product startup by addressing technical questions, troubleshooting issues, and implementing design adjustments when required.
  • Provide constructive feedback to engineers based on practical experience and contribute to continuous improvement in design development processes.

  • Hands-on experience creating, managing, and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Background in OEM design activities, including customization of products to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Exposure to project management responsibilities within engineering projects.
  • Ability to interpret and apply industry codes and standards such as NEC, ANSI, NFPA, and IEC.
  • Strong skills in design review, technical analysis, and problem-solving within a manufacturing and testing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
  • Background in designing sheet metal products and assemblies.
  • Exposure to electrical testing and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems.
  • Customer-facing experience in an electrical or mechanical engineering context.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team of approximately 10 or more engineers.
  • Interest in working on highly customizable load bank projects with average project durations ranging from six months to two years.
  • Motivation to contribute to a growing team and support a new product line experiencing high demand and increased sales.
Work Environment

The role is based in an office environment that is directly attached to a manufacturing floor, providing close access to production and test activities. Approximately 70% of the workday is spent at a desk performing design, analysis, documentation, and collaboration tasks, while about 30% is spent on the manufacturing floor engaging with fabrication, testing, and startup activities. This setting offers a blend of engineering office work and hands-on interaction with equipment and prototypes, fostering close cooperation between design, manufacturing, and test teams.
