Assistant Production Manager

Ourclient, an establishedTier 1 automotivesupplier in the Upstate South Carolina area, isseeking an Assistant ProductionManagerto support dailymanufacturingoperations. This position will helpensureSafety, Quality, Cost, and Productivitygoalsareachievedwhileprovidinghands-on leadership to the productionteam.

The ideal candidate has previoussupervisory or management experience in automotive manufacturing, a strong understanding of Metal Stamping, Lean Manufacturing principles, and experience leading teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage dailyproductionoperations to achieveSafety, Quality, Cost, and Productivitygoals

• Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance withcompanysafetypolicies and procedures
  

• Ensurequalityprocesscontrolsare in place and consistentlyfollowed
  

• Maintainproductionschedules to meetcustomer demand
  

• Conduct dailyteammeetings to communicateexpectations, priorities, and productionneeds

• Maintain and enforce proper documentcontrolwithin the production area
  

• Providehands-on leadership and direction to productionemployees
  

• Drive a Lean Manufacturing culture
  

• Lead and participate in continuousimprovementactivities
  

• Collaboratewithcross-functionalteams to support productiongoals and operational performance
  

Qualifications

• Previoussupervisoryormanagementexperience in an automotivemanufacturingenvironment
  

• Demonstratedleadership of safety initiatives that support a zero-injuryculture
  

• Strong understanding and application of continuousimprovementprinciples and practices, includingLean Manufacturing, TPM, and/or Lean Six Sigma
  

• Experience building and leading high-performingteams
  

• Experience workingwith and influencingcross-functionalteams
  

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  

• Ability to effectivelycommunicatewithemployees at all levels of an organization
