Openwork is seeking an experienced Quality Documentation Specialist to join a growing manufacturing team in Houston. This position will support quality documentation, document control, PPAP packages, engineering changes, and manufacturing compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and maintain PPAP documentation for customer submissions.
- Manage controlled documents including work instructions, SOPs, inspection plans, engineering drawings, and quality records.
- Maintain document revisions and coordinate ECNs/ECOs.
- Support Quality, Engineering, and Production teams with documentation.
- Assist with internal/external audits and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, current, and compliant with company and customer standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve document control processes.
Requirements- 3+ years of manufacturing quality, document control, or quality systems experience.
- Hands-on experience with PPAP documentation.
- Experience with ECNs, ECOs, document revisions, SOPs, work instructions, and inspection plans.
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, communication, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing processes preferred.
- Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, ERP, or document management systems is a plus.
Work Environment IMPORTANT- Must be willing to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse/manufacturing environment.
- Must be comfortable working on the warehouse floor and around ongoing production.
- Must be comfortable with loud noise from machinery and equipment.
Pay & SchedulePay: $25$27/hr DOE
Schedule: MondayFriday | 8:00 AM5:00 PM
