Construction ManagerOverview

Join a dynamic team that specializes in providing turn-key microgrid solutions across the USA. Our diverse team, comprising electrical, mechanical, civil, and chemical engineers, is dedicated to designing and implementing innovative projects involving solar, battery, fuel cell, diesel or gas-fired generators, and custom-designed switchgear. As a licensed general contractor with 40 electrical contracting licenses, our internal construction crews deliver excellence in installation services, with technicians ensuring successful start-up and commissioning.

Responsibilities
  • Manage subcontractors on-site to ensure project execution.
  • Focus on battery and substation energy storage, managing medium voltage systems ranging from 35K volts up to 115K volts.
  • Develop, run, and execute project schedules while maintaining accurate tracking.
  • Oversee QA/QC processes, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.
  • Read and interpret blueprints effectively.
  • Utilize Procore and Bluebeam for project management.
  • Report to the Sr. Construction Manager and collaborate with another Construction Manager.
  • Phase 1: Secure local zoning approvals, environmental reviews, and permits; set up site support equipment and offices.
  • Phase 2: Excavate, form, and place concrete for piers, foundations, and pads; install fire protection water lines and equipment.
  • Phase 3: Position containerized battery units using heavy cranes; install internal battery management system wiring.
  • Phase 4: Mount and wire DC-to-AC inverters alongside medium-voltage inverter transformers.
  • Phase 5: Lay medium-voltage AC cabling and install auxiliary transformers, switchgear, and safety disconnect devices.
  • Phase 6: Integrate the master BESS controller with the SCADA network; install and test environmental sensors.
  • Phase 7: Perform pre-functional checks and run functional performance tests on subsystems.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or as a Superintendent.
  • Proficiency in solar, electrical, and utility-scale projects, including BESS, wind, or structural work.
  • Ability to read blueprints and utilize Procore effectively.
  • Extensive experience in safety and quality assurance.
  • OSHA 10 and 30 certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience with medium voltage systems and energy storage solutions.

Work Environment

Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8-10 hours per day. This is an hourly role, with potential for remote work one week per month if traveling. Onsite presence is required daily.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
