SUMMARY:
The Quality Manager provides hands-on leadership and technical oversight for the Quality Management System (QMS) at Feuer Powertrain North America, Inc., ensuring product integrity through systematic integration of and adherence to customer requirements in compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards. This self-starting role directly leads,mentors, and schedules resources within Quality Engineering, Inspection, and the Metallurgical Lab. Collaborating closely with Process Engineering, this role co-owns PFMEAs, analyzes manufacturing data, manages gage calibrations, and utilizes structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why) to resolve quality issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ownership of the Quality Management System ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
- Gage calibration planning and coordination.
- Resource management and scheduling for Quality Engineering, Inspection Lab, and Metallurgical Lab
- Collaborative PFMEA ownership with Process Engineering
- Coordination of customer requirements and integration into the Quality Management System
- Scheduling and coordination of internal and external audits (IATF 16949)
- Manage resolution of external and internal issues using structured problem solving tools (8D, 5-Why, etc.)
- Facilitate successful completion of Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Monitor and integrate latest industry developments in Quality Management strategies
- Mentor and develop team members within direct reporting structure and across the organization
- Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators for Quality Department
