Moldmaker

Epic Personnel Partners is actively hiring an Injection Moldmaker/Toolmaker for a custom moldmaking facility in Bloomfield, CT.

Pay Rate: $33–$40/hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift | Full-Time

Duties: The Moldmaker/Toolmaker will build and repair precision injection molds. This role includes disassembly, troubleshooting, grinding, inspection, and reassembly of molds used in custom projects (not production).

Responsibilities:

• Disassemble, troubleshoot, and repair injection molds.
• Assemble molds and ensure functionality.
• Perform grinding, fitting, and adjustments to tolerances of .0002”.
• Inspect mold components using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Support turnkey mold projects in collaboration with engineers and machinists.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of moldmaking/toolmaking experience.
• Strong knowledge of mold assembly, grinding, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with manual machining equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and work with precision tolerances.
• CNC and EDM knowledge is a plus.
