CONTROLLER
Our Robert Half client, a successful and growing organization with domestic and international operations, is seeking an accomplished Controller to join its leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this highly visible position will lead the accounting function while serving as a strategic partner across the business.
The Controller will oversee financial reporting, close and consolidation, accounting policies, internal controls, audit and tax coordination, and development of the accounting team. The position will also partner closely with the CFO on forecasting, cash flow, financial analysis, and executive-level reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly close and consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities, including international operations and foreign currency activity.
- Ensure financial statements are accurate, timely, and prepared in accordance with US GAAP.
- Oversee accounting policies, account reconciliations, chart of accounts, internal controls, and financial reporting processes.
- Provide technical accounting guidance involving revenue recognition, leases, inventory, costing, accruals, impairment, and other complex matters.
- Coordinate annual audit and tax compliance activities and serve as a primary accounting contact for external advisors.
- Partner with the CFO to strengthen budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Prepare financial and operational reporting for executive leadership and external stakeholders, including KPI analysis, EBITDA reporting, and covenant calculations.
- Help develop and maintain short-term cash forecasting while monitoring liquidity and working capital.
- Support capital investment decisions through financial modeling, ROI, NPV, IRR, payback, and sensitivity analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and scale accounting and reporting processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while establishing clear expectations and maintaining a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7 + years of progressive accounting experience within public accounting and/or a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience leading accounting processes and working across multiple business functions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a growing and evolving organization.
- Strong Microsoft Office and Excel capabilities.
Preferred Experience
- CPA and/or CMA.
- Multi-entity and/or multi-currency accounting and consolidation experience.
- ERP systems, financial reporting technology, data analytics, or AI-enabled tools.
- Manufacturing accounting experience, including inventory, standard costing, and variance analysis.
