Material Handler

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support daily manufacturing operations. The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, moving, staging, organizing, and delivering raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility. This position works closely with production, warehouse, shipping, and quality teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, identify, and organize incoming materials and components.
- Move raw materials, parts, supplies, and finished products throughout the facility.
- Stage materials for production according to work orders and production schedules.
- Deliver materials to manufacturing workstations and production lines.
- Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Verify quantities, part numbers, and material specifications.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment and safe handling procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks, carts, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment as authorized.
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse and production area.
- Follow company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
- Use ERP or inventory management systems to record material movement when required.
- Communicate material shortages, damaged materials, or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
- Assist production teams with general material and warehouse support as needed.
Qualifications
- 6 months–2 years of warehouse, material handling, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
- Ability to read work orders, labels, part numbers, and basic production documentation.
- Basic computer and inventory-system skills preferred.
- Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Must be willing to work overtime when required.
