Warehouse Manager

About the job

The Warehouse Manager will lead a small forklift team while staying hands-on with daily warehouse operations, material flow, organization, and vendor needs.

We're looking for someone who

Has solid hands-on warehouse experience, including loading, unloading, and organizing materials

Has experience supervising or leading a small warehouse team

Is forklift certified and comfortable regularly operating a forklift

Is willing to jump in and load or unload materials alongside the team when needed

Can keep a busy warehouse organized as inventory, materials, and priorities continually change

Uses good judgment and common sense to solve day-to-day warehouse challenges

Has strong people skills and can communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and leadership

Can identify, classify, and properly route incoming materials

Is dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a hands-on environment

What you'll do

Supervise and support a crew of approximately 4–6 forklift drivers

Stay actively involved in daily warehouse operations alongside the team

Coordinate the safe loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing materials

Operate a forklift and assist with loading and unloading as needed

Identify and define incoming materials to ensure they are handled and routed appropriately

Organize warehouse materials and adjust layouts as inventory and operational needs change

Coordinate material needs and pickups with vendors receiving recycled materials

Monitor workflow and assign daily priorities to the warehouse team

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

Communicate operational needs, material issues, and priorities with the appropriate teams

Help resolve day-to-day warehouse challenges quickly and practically
