We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and self-motivated Assistant Maintenance Director with prior skilled nursing facility experience. ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility
Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building issues
Inspect, maintain, and repair wheelchairs, hospital beds, and other resident equipment
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and safety concerns
Complete preventive-maintenance tasks and required documentation
Help ensure compliance with applicable SNF, life-safety, and building regulations
Maintain tools, mechanical areas, and workspaces in a clean and safe condition
Assist with inspections, emergencies, and special projects
Coordinate with facility staff, outside vendors, and contractors
Be available to respond to occasional emergency and after-hours calls
Previous maintenance experience in a skilled nursing facility is required
Proficiency in electrical work, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs
Experience maintaining and repairing wheelchairs and hospital beds
Familiarity with SNF regulations, surveys, inspections, and life-safety requirements
Ability to work independently, recognize priorities, and complete assignments with limited supervision
Dependable, organized, and able to respond calmly to urgent situations
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Ability to interact respectfully with residents, families, staff, and vendors
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform the physical duties of the position
Valid driver’s license preferred
Must successfully complete all required background checks
