Preschool Teacher Assistant (TEMPORARY)

The Blue River Early Learning Academy (BRELA) is seeking a temporaryPreschool Teacher Assistant who is interested in working through December. This position has the potential to become a permanent position depending on agency needs at that time.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based learning activities
• Promote children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Assist with child assessments and documentation
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages family engagement and community partnerships
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive classroom environment

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) or other qualifying early childhood credential as required by BVCA Children Services conditions of employment

Schedule

• Full-Time – 36 hours per week
• Monday–Friday
• Off during the summer (approximately mid-May through mid-August)

Additional Information:
This temporary role is expected to continue through December 30, 2026; however, continued employment is not guaranteed and is dependent on agency need and funding.
