Robert Half is seeking a highly analytical and motivated Accountant for a growing organization that values operational excellence, process improvement, and collaborative problem-solving. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring proper documentation of business transactions.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to support accurate general ledger accounting.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and supporting reports.
  • Analyze assets, liabilities, expenses, reserves, and expenditures, making recommendations on proper accounting treatment.
  • Evaluate financial and operational data, including historical trends, revenues, and obligations to support forecasting and business planning.
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Support incentive compensation accounting, including accrual calculations, analyses, and related inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance overall reporting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support business initiatives and accounting objectives.
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external auditors.
  • Assist management with special projects, financial analyses, and ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Resolve accounting irregularities and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, CPA or CPA-track candidates highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
  • Experience preparing journal entries and analyzing financial statements.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA designation is a plus.
