Robert Half is seeking a highly analytical and motivated Accountant for a growing organization that values operational excellence, process improvement, and collaborative problem-solving. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring proper documentation of business transactions.
- Compile and analyze financial information to support accurate general ledger accounting.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and supporting reports.
- Analyze assets, liabilities, expenses, reserves, and expenditures, making recommendations on proper accounting treatment.
- Evaluate financial and operational data, including historical trends, revenues, and obligations to support forecasting and business planning.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.
- Support incentive compensation accounting, including accrual calculations, analyses, and related inquiries.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance overall reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support business initiatives and accounting objectives.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external auditors.
- Assist management with special projects, financial analyses, and ad hoc reporting requests.
- Resolve accounting irregularities and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, CPA or CPA-track candidates highly preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
- Experience preparing journal entries and analyzing financial statements.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a changing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA designation is a plus.
