Rope Access / CompEx Certified Rig Electrician

The Drilling Rig Electrician is responsible for maintaining and installing electrical systems on both onshore and offshore drilling equipment. Working within small teams of fewer than five members, the electrician performs fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure operational safety and efficiency. Frequent travel between drilling sites is an expected part of the role, with opportunities for professional growth into Lead Electrician positions and specialized technical training.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance and equipment installation on drilling rigs
• Diagnose electrical faults and troubleshoot issues promptly
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
• Conduct system testing and preventive maintenance regularly
• Document all maintenance activities and equipment status accurately
• Collaborate closely within small maintenance teams
• Adapt to frequent travel between onshore and offshore drilling sites

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in electrical maintenance

Preferred Qualifications

• Rope Access certification
• CompEx certification
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and cabling
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with safety procedures in industrial environments
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
