Valence Vector Labs LLC is an engineering and consulting company that specializes in hardware penetration and vulnerability analysis. We relentlessly attack security-hardened, hardware targets to extract data from vehicles, unmanned aerial systems, computers, mobile phones, and other data storage systems.

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Reverse Engineer to join our team and provide support to a United States Government customer.The work location can be in Jefferson, MD or Aberdeen, MD. As an Electrical Reverse Engineer, responsibilities include reverse engineering electronics, developing manufacturing processes, and replicating complex devices. You will play a crucial role in supporting priority technical exploitation requirements and hardware reverse engineering.

Essential Functions

1.Reverse engineering of electronic circuit boards, schematics and components

2.Generate accurate technical ECAD documentation (schematics and layout maps) representing existing physical legacy hardware variants using non-destructive and destructive analytical inspection techniques.

3.Reverse engineer electronic assemblies

4.Identify electronic components visually or by operation characteristics and research their manufacturer specifications

5.Configure a physical test bench using existing legacy hardware, functional interface cabling, and comparable reference peripherals (such as motors, PCBs and IMUs) to validate end-to-end communication and technical documentation accuracy against operational baselines.

6.Complies with company policies, procedures, and regulations

Physical Demands

This is a sedentary role which may sit or use a computer for long periods of time. Finger dexterity needed for keyboarding. Extended periods of time reading/viewing computer screens and electronic equipment.

Required Education and Experience

1.Active Secret with eligibility to obtain Top-Secret SCI Clearance

2.5+ years of relevant experience

3.AA or 2yr Tech School and 5 years’ experience or HS/GED with 15 years’ experience

4.Electrical Engineering degree preferred
