Job Summary:

Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented experienced Production Coordinator Lead. The Production Coordinator will coordinate production schedules and manufacturing activities.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinate production schedules, priorities, and manufacturingactivities to supporton-time delivery.
  • Serve as aprimary point ofcontact for productioncoordination and schedule-related issues.
  • Monitor daily productionprogress and proactivelyidentify potential delays, constraints, or bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, includingProduction, Engineering, Purchasing, Inventory,Quality, Supply Chain, and Logistics, toresolve production issues.
  • Assign, track, andfollow up onactionitems while holdingtask owners accountableto committed deadlines.
  • Ensure all requiredstage gatesare completedand verified priorto Clear-to-Build.
  • Maintain accurate andup-to-dateproduction schedules, records, trackers, and statusreports.
  • Provide regular productionstatus updates andcommunicate changes, risks,and recovery plansto appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate material, labor, information, and otherproduction requirementsto support manufacturingschedules.
  • Monitor workflow andproduction capacity toidentify opportunitiesto improve throughputand efficiency.
  • Escalate production risksand issues ina timely mannerand help drivecorrective actions toresolution.
  • Support root-causeanalysis and continuousimprovement initiativesrelated to productiondelays, quality issues,and process inefficiencies.
  • Assist in prioritizingwork based oncustomer commitments, productionrequirements,material availability,and business needs.
  • Partner with Inventoryand Purchasing toidentify and resolvematerial shortages orsupply constraints thatmay impact production.
  • Coordinate with Qualityto ensure requiredinspections, documentation, and qualityrequirements are completedbefore production milestones.
  • Support timely deliveryof finished productsby maintaining visibilityof production statusthrough completion andshipment.
  • Identify opportunities toimprove scheduling processes, communication, workflow, and overall operationalefficiency.
  • Help establish andmaintain standardized processes, procedures, and bestpractices for productioncoordination.
  • Provide guidance andday-to-dayleadership to ProductionCoordinators and/orother team membersas assigned.
  • Serve as aresource and escalationpoint for lessexperienced coordinators.
  • Promote a cultureof accountability, urgency, teamwork, safety, quality, and continuousimprovement.
  • Perform other dutiesand responsibilitiesas assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4–7 yearsof experience ina manufacturing environment, preferably withinmetal manufacturing/fabrication.
  • Previous experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Production Coordination
    • Inventory Control
    • Purchasing
    • Supply Chain
    • Logistics
    • Shop Management
    • Manufacturing Operations
  • Strong understanding ofmanufacturing processes, production flow, andshop operations.
  • Demonstrated ability tocoordinatemultiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding ofproduction scheduling andtime management.
    • Experience tracking productionperformance and identifyingschedule risks.
    • Ability to effectivelycommunicate with bothshop-floorpersonnel and office/management teams.
    • Strong problem-solvingand decision-makingskills.
    • Demonstratedability to takeownership, follow through, and hold othersaccountable to commitments.
    • Project management orproduction planning experiencepreferred.
    • Familiarity withLean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimizationprinciples.
    • Knowledge of qualitycontrol standards andmanufacturing best practices.
    • Knowledge of manufacturingsafety standards anda commitment tomaintaining a safework environment.
    • Proficiencywith Microsoft OfficeSuite, particularly Excel.
    • Experience with ERP, MRP, inventory management,or manufacturing schedulingsoftware.
    • Acute attention todetail, particularly regardingproduction schedules, documentation, and deadlines.
    • Strong organizational andmultitasking abilities.
    • Ability to workeffectively both independentlyand as partofa cross-functionalteam.
    • Ability to workeffectively under pressureand adapt tochanging production priorities.
    • High school diplomaor equivalent required; additional technical,manufacturing, or businesseducation is aplus.
