Job Description
We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join a manufacturing organization in North Aurora, Illinois on a contract-to-permanent basis. In this role, you will engage prospective customers, evaluate opportunities, and help drive revenue growth across data center and critical infrastructure markets. This position is ideal for a sales specialist who can balance relationship building, lead evaluation, and disciplined pipeline management in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate incoming and outbound prospects by reviewing project requirements, purchase timelines, budget readiness, and stakeholder involvement before passing viable opportunities to outside sales partners.
• Investigate target companies, industry activity, and emerging projects to identify new business potential within data center and mission-critical infrastructure segments.
• Develop strong working relationships with contractors, consulting engineers, channel partners, end users, and other decision influencers to support ongoing sales efforts.
• Handle a large volume of prospecting and follow-up activity while maintaining responsive communication and steady customer engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach, lead status, and opportunity progress within Salesforce to support clear pipeline visibility and reporting.
• Partner with business development, sales operations, marketing, product teams, and customer support to align efforts around customer needs and growth objectives.
• Review procurement portals, project tracking resources, and lead tools to uncover opportunities and direct them to the appropriate sales contacts.
• Keep active prospects engaged through consistent follow-up and relationship management to help move opportunities forward in the sales cycle.• 5+ years of experience in inside sales, business development, or a related sales role.
• Demonstrated ability to qualify leads, manage sales activity, and contribute to revenue growth.
• Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce for pipeline tracking and account documentation.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage a range of customer and partner contacts.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and sustain high-volume outreach in a deadline-driven environment.
• Background supporting sales efforts in manufacturing, industrial, or technical product environments is preferred.
• Strong research and market awareness skills for identifying new project-based sales opportunities.
