POSITION TITLE: Warehouse Supervisor
SUPERVISOR TITLE: Inventory & Warehouse Supervisor
SUPERVISORY ROLE:Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities and personnel
GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Warehouse Supervisor manages all day-to-day warehouse activities to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate movement of fiber cement products. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising personnel, coordinating operations, and maintaining a safe, well-organized warehouse environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily Warehouse Operations
- Oversee all daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping.
- Plan truckload and LTL shipments, negotiate rates with carriers, prepare and print shipping paperwork, and complete accurate and timely transactions in SAP and Shipwell.
- Maintain FIFO inventory practices; perform monthly cycle counts and support physical inventories.
- Order warehouse supplies, manage trash and recycling removal, and ensure overall facility organization.
- Oversee forklift and material-handling equipment readiness, including basic inspections and coordination of maintenance.
- Unload inbound containers and load outbound trucks as needed to support operations.
People Leadership
- Supervise, schedule, and direct warehouse employees to meet production and shipping requirements.
- Train, coach, and hold employees accountable for performance, quality, and safety.
- Foster teamwork and effective communication across warehouse, production, and logistics teams.
- Maintain effective working relationships and service-oriented communication with internal departments.
Safety Leadership
- Champion a strong safety culture for employees, contractors, and drivers.
- Enforce all warehouse SOPs, safety policies, and PPE requirements.
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure compliance with site safety procedures.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and support continuous safety improvement efforts.
Work Schedule & Environment
- Ability to work overtime, extended shifts (including 12-hour shifts), and weekends as required.
- Flexibility to adjust schedules to meet changing operational needs.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
- 3-5 years of warehouse supervisory experience
- 1-2 of experience with truckload and LTL shipping
- Working knowledge of SAP and basic computer applications (MS Office)
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, trucking processes, and material handling
- Forklift certification (or the ability to obtain)
Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Operate a computer and standard office equipment.
- Walk, stand, and move between indoor and outdoor work areas.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders.
- Frequently push, pull, or carry items under 50 lbs; seldom 50 lbs or more.
- Remain focused and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, distracting environment.
- Operate a forklift for extended periods.
