Where Communications, Community Engagement, and Fundraising Come Together
We are seeking a Communications & Development Specialist to support organizational communications, marketing initiatives, community engagement, grant development, and fundraising efforts.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, storytelling, relationship-building, and finding creative ways to connect people to EPI's mission. Working collaboratively across departments, the Communications & Development Specialist helps increase awareness of EPI's impact while supporting funding opportunities that strengthen services and create opportunities for the people we serve.

In this role, you will:
- Create and manage marketing, communication, and promotional materials that support EPI's mission and brand.
- Develop content for social media, website updates, newsletters, and other communication channels.
- Support public relations and community engagement efforts that increase awareness of EPI's programs and services.
- Research, write, and coordinate grant applications, funding proposals, and sponsorship opportunities.
- Support donor stewardship activities, gift processing, and donor database management.
- Assist with fundraising events, campaigns, and community outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with program leaders to communicate organizational impact and success stories.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with donors, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Support fundraising and communication strategies that advance EPI's mission and organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in nonprofit communications, fundraising, development, grant writing, donor relations, marketing, public relations, or a related field required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance.
- Ability to pass required background checks and a post-offer drug screen.
