Cable Puller / Infrastructure Technician / Data Center Technician I & II

Location: Red Oaks, TX (100% Onsite)

$25.00/hr | Approx 80 Hours/Week | Heavy Overtime at x1.5 Pay ($37.50/hr)

Expected Start Date: October 5, 2026

Contract Length: 4-Month Contract with Strong Potential for Extension & Permanent Hire

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking experienced Cable Pullers, Infrastructure Technicians, and Data Center Technicians to support a large-scale data center build project in Red Oaks, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile infrastructure deployment with the potential for long-term employment based on performance.

The initial assignment is expected to last 3-4 months, with potential extension into additional phases of the project for another 3-4 months. High-performing technicians may be considered for full-time conversion opportunities.

?? Random onsite drug testing is required.

Schedule

Candidates must be flexible and comfortable working extended shifts in a fast-paced construction and data center environment.

  • 6-7 days per week
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Monday-Saturday (must be open to Sunday work as needed)
Early Access Crew
  • Night Shift: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM
Full Access Crew (November)
  • Day Shift: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Night Shift: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Transportation Requirement: Employees must arrive at the designated shuttle location by 6:15 AM or 6:15 PM and utilize company-provided transportation to the job site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pull, route, and install fiber optic and copper cabling throughout the data center environment
  • Run, pull, dress, bundle, and label network cabling according to project standards
  • Rack and stack network equipment and supporting infrastructure
  • Perform fiber and copper terminations
  • Install and connect pre-terminated fiber into cassettes and patch panels
  • Maintain cable organization and pathway management for large-scale deployments
  • Support data center infrastructure buildouts while adhering to quality and safety standards
  • Follow all site safety policies and procedures
Fiber Experience Preferred

Technicians should have experience working with backbone fiber installations, including:

  • 288-count fiber
  • 144-count fiber
  • Single-mode and multi-mode fiber environments
  • Fiber routing, dressing, and cable management
Preferred Qualifications

Fiber optic installation experience

Copper cabling installation experience

Ability to pull, route, dress, label, and terminate cabling

Experience with rack & stack activities

Familiarity with structured cabling standards

Data center, telecommunications, or large commercial construction experience

Bonus Skills
  • Fiber testing and troubleshooting experience
  • OTDR testing
  • Fluke testing equipment
  • Network infrastructure validation and certification

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
