Set In Stone Construction is a veteran-owned and operated General Contractor specializing in residential and commercial construction. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and professional Independent Project Estimator/Superintendent.
This is a commission-based independent contractor position with six-figure earning potential for the right individual.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate combines construction knowledge, estimating, sales, and project management skills. You will handle company-generated leads, develop your own leads, meet with customers, prepare estimates, help close projects, and manage jobs from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on company-generated leads and develop new residential and commercial leads
- Meet with homeowners, business owners, and customers at properties and job sites
- Evaluate projects and prepare estimates and proposals
- Work directly with the owner on estimates and projects
- Present project scope, pricing, timelines, and construction processes to customers
- Assist with sales and securing signed contracts
- Manage projects from initial contract through final completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, materials, permits, inspections, and scheduling
- Conduct regular job-site visits and monitor workmanship and progress
- Handle unexpected conditions, change orders, and additional work
- Maintain accurate project documentation and customer communication
- Coordinate final walkthroughs and project completion
Qualifications
- Construction, estimating, sales, or project supervision experience preferred
- Knowledge of residential and commercial construction
- Strong communication, sales, and customer-service skills
- Professional, dependable, organized, and self-motivated
- Able to manage multiple leads and projects independently
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel throughout Michigan
- On-call availability as needed
- Required state contractor sales license/registration, or willingness to obtain it with company assistance
