Schedule/Work Hours: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.
Responsibilities include:
Pick up food from nearby grocery stores on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Deliver food to other pantries on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Assess the quality of donated food
Maintain food rescue records
Maintain cold storage units (cleaning and thermometers)
Store and refrigerate food rescue donations
Unload the food truck on Mondays
Restock shelves
Deliver food to homebound pantry clients on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Drop off boxes at the city recycle center
Perform other duties as assigned
Food sanitation training required, if you don't have a sanitation license already
Supervisor: Reports to the Director of Social Care
Qualifications:
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
• Ability to lift.
