Purpose

The Early Childhood Coordinator will provideopportunities for birth-preschool aged children to be engaged in spiritual learning and growth during the weekly Sunday Service. Replicate the family ministry mission/vision and support parents as the primary spiritual influence in their homes.

Hours

Part-time, 24 hours, including weekends and some evenings.

Primary Responsibilities

Leading

  • Prioritize and strengthen your relationship with Jesus Christ, allowing Him to move in you, then through you.
  • Oversee all Early Childhood classrooms on the weekend, as well as functionally and decoratively.
  • Recruit, train and empower Early Childhood volunteers for each service.
  • Recruit, train, and support youth volunteers for each service in Early Childhood.
  • Build and invest in programming and event volunteer teams.
  • Stay current with early childhood trends via articles, networking, podcasts, etc.

Planning

  • Assist the Children’s Ministry Admin with updating and maintaining communication specific to parents and faith community (web, Facebook, take homes, etc.)
  • Participate in the execution of events and weekly programming within Children’s Ministry, as well as full church events/services.
  • Facilitate family events and connection points throughout the year with the Children’s Ministry team.
  • Intentionally connect with and invest in the parents of kids who attend Children’s Ministry.

Qualifications

  • Preferred two years’ experience in church ministry
  • Preferred two years of proven ability to develop, lead, and motivate volunteer teams
  • Willing to call Ridge Point Community Church your home church and attend regularly within 6 months of employment
