Food Prep Cook

Our team is growing!

Java Haus in Snohomish, WA is looking for one food prep cook to join our team!

This is a part time position of about 2-3shifts (roughly 12-16 hours) per week. We are located at 510 2nd Street. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, engaged, detail orientated, and comfortable working in a kitchen! Hours can be flexible depending on your availability - could work anytime between the hours of 5:15am-3pm - shift is typically 3-5 hours long.

This job does include a tip pool percentage!! An extra $3-$10 per hour!

Responsibilities:

• Set up and break down workstation.
• Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice, meat and vegetables
• Label stock and inventory all ingredients.
• Weigh and measure ingredients to be used.
• Rotate, Date, and keep work stations organized.
• Be comfortable in the kitchen using automatic slicer and other kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to keep work area clean.
• Make basic soups following already made recipes.
• Bake Cookies.
• Attend monthly meetings with the team.
• Make soups from scratch!

Qualifications

• Dedicated to working with a team
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be comfortable with prepping food and following all health & safety standards.
• Must have food handlers permit.
• Must be aware of basic food safety standards.
• Must be 18+.
• Must be available to work on 1 weekend day.
• Must be comfortable using meat slicer, soup kettles, ovens, etc.

Kitchen experience is preferred but not required!
