The Cook prepares delicious meals according to the menu. They follow instructionsincooking and delivering well-prepared meals in an efficient andtimelymanner to ensurean excellentguest experience. They are knowledgeable in various ingredients and cooking techniques and are kept up to date on industry trends.

Role and Responsibilities

• Consistentlymonitorsthe temperatures of hot and cold foods according to food safety standards and documents results.

• Completesappropriate formssuch as food temperature logs, sanitizer concentrationlogsand food waste logs.

• Prepares breakfast,lunchand dinner dailyin accordance withmenu, recipes,allergiesand dietary restrictions of individuals.

• Cleans storage, foodpreparationand serving areas tomaintainsanitary conditions.

• Wash and dry dishes, take outtrashesand broken-down boxes, clean diningareaand stock items in serving areas as needed.

• Performs routine deepcleanof kitchen area including sweeping/mopping kitchen floor, cleaning inside and out of reach-ins, cleaning steam table, fryolator, etc.

• Assistsin guaranteeinga high levelof health and safety, cleanliness and food preparation that ensures safe working practices are followed.

• Maintains professional boundaries with clients and interacts with them inan appropriate manner.

• Any other related tasks that are assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Prior kitchen/restaurant experience preferred.

• ServSafecertifieda plus.

• Must pass criminal backgroundcheck.

• Health,foodand sanitation knowledge.

• Ability to work independently with little to noassistance.

• Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
