Job Title: Electrical Engineer / Technical Services Supervisor
Job Description
The Technical Services Supervisor provides technical leadership and operational oversight for substations, SCADA systems, distribution automation, metering, and system reliability programs. This role bridges engineering, field operations, and system planning to ensure equipment is properly maintained, power quality issues are resolved quickly, and the electric system remains safe, reliable, and compliant. The position plays a key role during emergencies and participates in duty supervisor rotations as needed, directly influencing reliability and service quality for rural communities.

Work Environment
This role operates in a combination of office-based engineering settings and field oversight at substations, distribution facilities, and outdoor work sites. The position involves close collaboration with Engineering, Operations, and technical field teams, providing broad exposure to SCADA systems, distribution automation technologies, AMI/meters, and transmission/distribution infrastructure. Work hours may include extended or irregular periods during outages, emergencies, and storm restoration efforts, as well as participation in duty supervisor rotations. The role includes occasional travel and overnight training, and requires comfort working in all weather conditions around energized equipment and utility facilities within a mission-driven, community-focused cooperative culture.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warsaw, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.08 - $84.13/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
