Job Title: HR Generalist (Contract)

Pay: $29 to $34 per hour, flexible for the right candidate

Work Schedule: In person four days per week, 8:30am to 5:30pm with an unpaid hour for lunch

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Temporary HR Generalist to keep their human resources function running smoothly during a six month contract. This is a strong opportunity for an HR professional early in their career who wants broad, hands on exposure across the employee lifecycle in a collaborative and fast moving setting. The right person will be comfortable juggling several priorities at once and communicating clearly with leadership along the way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily HR operations and touchpoints across the employee lifecycle
  • Keep employee records and HR documentation accurate and current
  • Handle onboarding, offboarding, and employee status changes
  • Serve as a go to resource for employees on HR policies and general questions
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations such as FMLA, ADA, and FLSA
  • Manage employee data and process transactions within ADP Workforce Now, including full onboarding to offboarding workflows and benefit plan updates
  • Support HR reporting and general data management needs
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
  • Partner closely with HR leadership on day to day questions and routine matters
  • Contribute to additional HR projects as they come up

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 recent years in a generalist capacity
  • Expert level, recent hands on experience with ADP Workforce Now is required, not just general familiarity
  • Solid understanding of benefits administration and experience partnering with brokers or vendors
  • Working knowledge of employment law and current HR best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Sound judgment when handling confidential information
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, relevant experience considered in lieu of degree

Additional Details:

Candidates should be ready to speak to how they prioritize competing tasks and keep multiple projects moving at once, since this role supports a leader who works across many initiatives simultaneously. A background check covering a 7 year criminal history along with reference checks will be required.
