Sand Blaster:Rockford, Illinois
Our customer in Rockford, Illinois is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Sand Blaster to join their manufacturing team on 1st shift. This hands-on position is responsible for preparing metal parts and surfaces for production by removing rust, paint, scale, and other contaminants using sandblasting equipment. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing quality work and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.
Responsibilities of theSand Blaster:
- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare metal parts and surfaces.
- Load, position, and remove parts from the blasting area.
- Remove rust, paint, scale, dirt, and other surface contaminants.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure proper surface preparation and quality standards are met.
- Adjust blasting equipment and pressure settings as needed for different materials and applications.
- Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Follow all safety procedures and properly wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with material handling and other production duties as needed.
Sand BlasterRequirements and Qualifications:
- Previous sandblasting, manufacturing, or industrial experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and production equipment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability tolift upto 50 lbs. as needed.
- Comfortable working around dust, noise, and industrial equipment while wearing required PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Pay forSand Blaster:Starting at $17/hour.
