Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Assembly Technician to join our team in a large manufacturing environment. In this role, you will assemble large units using drawings, hand tools, and power tools while following all safety and quality standards. The position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical work throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble large units according to work instructions and quality standards.
  • Use hand and power tools, including pneumatic impact tools, pliers, and wrenches.
  • Perform casing, wiring, and sub-assembly tasks.
  • Move between work stations as needed to support production.
  • Inspect components and report defective or incorrect parts.
  • Complete required production documentation accurately.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and assignments as needed.

Work Environment

This position is based in a large plant environment that is non–temperature controlled and primarily outdoors. You will work literally out in the elements, on the dock where large units undergo final assembly for crane and truck loading. The role requires standing and walking for long periods, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs (including some repetitive lifting). Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and must be worn as assigned to ensure safety in this active, outdoor production setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grenada, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
