ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated Installation Supervisor to join our North America team. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys working in the field, leading installations, solving complex technical challenges, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The Installation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, and support of CJ 4DPLEX's SCREENX and 4DX theater systems across North America. This position serves as a technical lead on installation projects and works closely with exhibitors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to company quality standards.The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise, project coordination skills, and a customer-focused mindset, with the ability to travel extensively to installation sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Project Execution

  • Lead and supervise the installation of SCREENX and 4DX systems in new and existing cinema auditoriums.
  • Coordinate onsite installation activities with exhibitors, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Oversee installation of video projection equipment, motion seating systems, audiovisual racks, networking equipment, and related infrastructure.
  • Verify site readiness and compliance with CJ 4DPLEX design specifications, engineering drawings, and operational requirements.
  • Ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules.

System Commissioning & Training

  • Configure and establish network connectivity between CJ 4DPLEX systems and exhibitor cinema systems.
  • Perform system calibration, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance verification.
  • Conduct Test & Adjust procedures to ensure optimal performance and guest experience.
  • Deliver operator training and technical guidance to exhibitor personnel.
  • Obtain installation acceptance and project sign-off from exhibition partners.

Technical Support & Service

  • Provide field service support for existing SCREENX and 4DX installations.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, networking, and mechanical issues.
  • Maintain detailed service documentation and installation records.
  • Support theater grand openings, system launches, and special events as needed.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Serve as the onsite technical lead during installation projects.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance installation processes.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service while representing CJ 4DPLEX.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical installation, field service, systems integration, audiovisual technology, cinema technology, or related industries.
  • Experience working on construction sites and coordinating with contractors and trades.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and interconnected audiovisual systems.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, installation plans, and equipment documentation.
  • Comfortable working at heights, including scaffolding, ladders, and lift equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% throughout North America, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push/pull, and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or assist in moving equipment exceeding 50 pounds, utilizing proper lifting techniques and material-handling equipment when required.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working at heights.
  • Comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, and lift equipment.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Willingness to work in active construction and theater environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and work flexible hours as required by installation schedules.

Preferred

  • Technical degree, trade certification, or formal training in electronics, engineering technology, audiovisual systems, networking, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in cinema technology, themed entertainment, live events, broadcast, AV systems integration, automation, or motion-control systems.
  • Familiarity with digital cinema projection systems, audio systems, and IT/network infrastructure.
  • OSHA safety training or other construction-site certifications.

Compensation ranges from $ 70,000 to $100,000. We adhere to all applicable local laws regarding salary transparency and disclose ranges where legally required. The final offer will depend on a variety of factors including market conditions, candidate experience, internal equity, and other relevant considerations. Offers at the top end of the range are uncommon.
