We are looking for an RF Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of sophisticated radio frequency solutions that support advanced radar and antenna applications in Utah. This position will guide work across design, integration, and validation activities, helping translate technical concepts into reliable hardware performance. The role is well suited to an engineer with deep knowledge of RF and microwave systems who can collaborate across disciplines and solve complex technical challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
• Architect and refine RF transmit and receive paths, covering frequency generation, signal conversion, filtering, amplification, and high-speed data interface considerations.
• Evaluate end-to-end RF performance by assessing gain distribution, noise behavior, compression limits, spectral purity, and distortion mechanisms across the system.
• Lead the initial bring-up and troubleshooting of RF hardware assemblies, resolving issues uncovered during subsystem and platform integration.
• Execute laboratory and field verification efforts to confirm system functionality, operational performance, and readiness for application-specific use cases.
• Characterize RF and antenna behavior with standard measurement instrumentation, including network analysis, spectral testing, signal stimulation, and chamber-based evaluations.
• Interpret measurement data to isolate root causes, recommend corrective actions, and improve design maturity through iterative engineering updates.
• Create and maintain Python-based tools for automation, simulation support, data reduction, and repeatable test workflows.
• Partner with systems, electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, and algorithm teams to align design decisions with broader program objectives.
• Prepare clear technical records such as design summaries, verification documentation, and test findings to support reviews and development milestones.
• Ensure engineering outputs satisfy applicable performance expectations as well as regulatory, environmental, and reliability standards.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
