Assembler - Entry-Level Technical Manufacturing

i2Systems is seeking motivated, mechanically inclined individuals interested in beginning a career in technical manufacturing and assembly. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates of a four-year technical high school program or a two-year postsecondary technical, trade, or vocational program who are looking to apply their hands-on skills in a manufacturing environment.

Prior manufacturing experience is not required. We are looking for candidates with a strong technical foundation, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

In this role, you will perform hands-on assembly of components by following written and verbal work instructions. Assemblers work as part of a production team, with each team member completing specific steps in the assembly process. You will begin by learning a position within a specific product line and, as your skills develop, receive training on additional assembly processes and product lines.

This position provides an opportunity to build practical manufacturing experience while developing skills in mechanical assembly, electrical components, tools, equipment, quality, and production processes.

• Graduate of a four-year technical high school program or two-year postsecondary technical, trade, or vocational program preferred.
• Technical education in areas such as electronics, electrical, electromechanical, manufacturing, mechanical technology, machining, automotive, or a related hands-on technical field is encouraged.
• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on technical work.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tools, equipment, products, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and follow basic written work instructions, diagrams, and procedures.
• Ability to work with small components requiring good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Dependable with reliable transportation.

• Ability to safely operate handheld tools and production equipment.
• Ability to learn and utilize mechanical and electrical tools, including air-operated fastening and torquing tools, specialized assembly fixtures, leak-test equipment, and quality inspection tools.
• Ability to maintain a steady and consistent assembly pace while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to communicate, read, and understand basic instructions in English.
• Ability to multitask and move between different assembly processes as training progresses.
• Ability to sit or stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift.

• Safely and efficiently complete assigned assembly processes in a consistent, high-quality, and repeatable manner.
• Assemble components according to written and verbal work instructions and established procedures.
• Position and connect parts in the proper sequence and relationship.
• Operate tools, fixtures, and equipment used for fitting, fastening, testing, and assembly operations.
• Inspect completed work and identify potential quality issues.
• Learn additional assembly operations and product lines through hands-on training.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Wear required PPE and follow all company safety policies, processes, and procedures.
