Inspect and measure manufactured parts or products for defects, non-conformance, and deviations from specifications. Though we are willing to train we are looking for an individual that is well versed in using precision inspection like micrometers, calipers, and comparators. The person will also be expected to file first article and final inspection reports, as well as be able to communicate well with others about any problems they may have found in their inspections.
Some important skills/daily tasks are:

1. inspect manufactured products
2. monitor the quantity of assembly output
3. use precision measuring tools or equipment
4. operate precision test equipment
5. understand measuring devices
6. maintain inspection tools or equipment
7. mark items for acceptance or rejection, according to conformance to specifications
8. communicate technical information with machinist/machine operators
9. record test results, test procedures, or inspection data
10. prepare reports
11. use spreadsheet software
12. follow data storage procedures
