Riley Plumbing Heating & Air is expanding its service team and looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician who can confidently diagnose equipment, complete quality repairs, and provide professional service to homeowners.

Your Role

You'll handle residential HVAC service calls throughout the Carson Valley area, using your technical knowledge to accurately diagnose issues and determine the right solution.

• Diagnose heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and system-performance issues
• Complete repairs and component replacements
• Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal tune-ups
• Test equipment and verify proper system operation
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance
• Explain findings and repair recommendations clearly to homeowners
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
• Provide professional customer service on every call

What We're Looking For

This is an experienced technician position. We're looking for someone who can work confidently and independently in the field.

Required:

• 3+ years of HVAC service experience
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling Certification
• Valid driver's license and clean, insurable driving record
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Proven ability to complete HVAC repairs
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively

Preferred:

• NATE Certification
• Experience mentoring or training newer technicians
• Broad residential HVAC system knowledge
