M R ELECTRIC INC is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to support electricians on job sites while building practical skills in residential and commercial electrical work.

Position Summary

The Electrical Apprentice will assist seasoned electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems while learning safe work practices and jobsite standards. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to grow their trade, follow procedures carefully, and contribute to high-quality workmanship.

Working onsite in various locations in LA County (with occasional travel to out-of-county job sites), you will help with a variety of tasks that may include running and securing wiring & conduits, cable splices and terminations, supporting equipment installation, and maintaining organized work areas under the direction of experienced electricians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist electricians with installation and troubleshooting of electrical components, including conduit, wiring, and associated hardware

  • Prepare job sites by staging materials, maintaining tools, and ensuring work areas are clean and organized

  • Follow safety procedures and electrical codes while supporting compliant workmanship

  • Support measurement, layout, and basic testing tasks as directed to ensure correct installation

  • Document work activities as needed and communicate clearly with the team throughout each job phase

Required Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of electrical concepts and safe work practices

  • Willingness to learn on the job and follow direction from licensed electricians

  • Reliability and punctuality with a strong commitment to safety and quality

  • Ability to read and interpret basic instructions, labels, and jobsite directions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience or exposure to electrical work, construction, or maintenance support

  • Familiarity with common jobsite tools and the ability to handle tools safely

  • Comfort working in varied environments and adapting to changing jobsite needs

  • Interest in pursuing further training and continuing education in the electrical trade

Compensation

Hourly rate: $19 - $25
