Job Description
We are looking for a detail-focused Logistics Coordinator to support warehouse shipping and inventory activities in Rancho Dominguez, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can keep orders moving accurately, coordinate effectively with carriers and warehouse partners, and stay organized in a fast-paced setting. The person in this role will help ensure products are routed, documented, labeled, and shipped correctly while maintaining clear communication across teams.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate shipment routing for major retail customers and help ensure orders follow customer-specific requirements.
• Prepare shipping labels and distribute clear order instructions so warehouse staff can process outbound work accurately.
• Partner with third-party warehouse teams to confirm purchase orders are packed and shipped correctly and on schedule.
• Communicate with transportation providers to arrange pickups, delivery timing, and daily shipping schedules.
• Monitor inventory records, update system information, and help maintain accurate stock control within warehouse operations.
• Apply vendor compliance guidelines to reduce shipping issues, chargebacks, and order delays.
• Repack products when needed, including sample items, to meet customer or shipment specifications.
• Support operational needs during high-volume periods, including overtime when business demand increases.
• Assist with additional warehouse support tasks as assigned to help maintain an organized work environment.• Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, logistics, or distribution environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines accurately.
• High attention to detail when handling documentation, labels, inventory records, and order information.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience using Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
• Proficiency in Excel and confidence working with data entry and logistics-related tracking tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while showing initiative and dependable follow-through.
• Capacity to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks in an active warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with vendor compliance standards and experience with warehouse or logistics systems is preferred.
