TRC's partner, a leading industrial manufacturer, has an opportunity for a Plant Manager to join their team just outside San Antonio, TX.
This is an opportunity to lead a high-impact manufacturing operation and play a key role in driving safety, quality, productivity, and financial performance.
As the senior leader of the facility, this individual will have responsibility for overall plant operations, team development, continuous improvement initiatives, and achieving key business objectives. The organization is seeking a hands-on manufacturing leader who can build a strong culture, develop high-performing teams, and deliver operational excellence in a fast-paced production environment.
Summary
The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of site performance, including operational execution, employee engagement, and overall profitability. This role carries full accountability for plant operations and key performance indicators while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently achieved. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to optimize manufacturing processes, develop talent, improve productivity, and drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability throughout the organization. This position reports to the VP of Operations and serves as the primary leader for the facility.
Responsibilities
Lead all plant operations, including manufacturing, material planning, inventory management, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, quality, shipping and receiving, administration, and safety.
Maintain full accountability for plant performance, including key operational metrics and profit and loss results.
Develop and execute strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and overall operational performance.
Establish priorities, allocate resources, and direct plant leadership teams to achieve business objectives safely and effectively.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement process enhancements that reduce costs and improve quality.
Develop plans to maximize the utilization of equipment, materials, and personnel across the facility.
Oversee capital and operating budgets while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and other regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture.
Lead workforce development efforts, including performance management, coaching, succession planning, and employee engagement.
Champion company goals and create a culture centered on accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related discipline required; Master's degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience with increasing operational responsibility.
Proven experience leading multi-functional manufacturing operations and large production teams.
Experience managing plant financial performance, budgets, and operational KPIs.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, maintenance operations, inventory management, and safety programs.
Demonstrated ability to develop teams, lead change, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience working within manufacturing operating systems and reporting tools.
