Neighbors Heating and Cooling - Ames, IA
Neighbors Heating and Cooling has been serving central Iowa since 1986 with a focus on craftsmanship, reliability, and honest service. We are looking for an experienced HVAC installer to join our team and help deliver the high-quality work our customers expect.
Our installation work is primarily residential replacement and retrofit, with some residential new construction and light commercial projects mixed in.
Pay: $25-$37/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, starting at 7:15 AM until job completion (typically between 3:00-5:00 PM)
What You'll Do
- Install residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related equipment
- Complete residential replacement/retrofit installations along with some new construction and light commercial work
- Read and interpret blueprints, job layouts, and technical manuals
- Ensure installations meet code requirements and company quality standards
- Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and project managers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of HVAC installation experience
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- EPA Certification required
- HVAC trade school or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction
