Position Summary
The Data Analytics Manager owns the Company's enterprise analytics function and leads the development of reporting, business intelligence, data governance, and analytics solutions that support informed decision-making across the organization. This position partners with business leaders to establish analytics priorities, deliver actionable insights, improve data quality, and promote a data-informed culture. As a working manager, this role leads and develops the analytics team while remaining actively involved in solution design, reporting strategy, and enterprise analytics initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruit, lead, and mentor direct reports, providing technical guidance, prioritization, and timely performance feedback; cultivating the personal, spiritual, financial, and professional growth of employees through open communication and weekly 1:1s
- Own and lead the Company's enterprise analytics function, strategy, and roadmap
- Establish strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver analytics solutions that support organizational objectives
- Lead the data analytics team in transforming business needs into meaningful dashboards, reports, key performance indicators, and analytical solutions
- Establish and maintain enterprise reporting standards, business metric definitions, semantic models, and analytics best practices
- Facilitate the Company's data governance program in partnership with business data owners to improve data quality, consistency, and trust
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of reporting solutions using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, and related technologies
- Establish and implement standard processes for gathering requirements, prioritizing analytics initiatives, and managing delivery
- Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge resources, and training materials that promote analytics adoption and self-service reporting capabilities
- Lead the team in developing and maintaining data integrations, ETL/ELT processes, APIs, and enterprise data pipelines
- Lead analytics projects and initiatives from concept through implementation
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred but not required
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, data engineering, or related disciplines
- 3+ years of experience leading employees, teams, projects, or analytics functions
- Advanced SQL development skills and strong knowledge of relational databases, data architecture, and dimensional modeling
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms required
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes, APIs, enterprise data integrations, and data pipeline development required
- Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and reporting best practices required
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric preferred
- Experience with statistical analysis, forecasting, predictive analytics, or advanced analytical techniques preferred
- Homebuilding, construction, manufacturing, or related industry experience preferred
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business solutions and actionable insights
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to lead and motivate teams while successfully managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel periodically to company markets and offices; must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle and have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
