We're looking for a motivated Welder with at least 3 years of welding and fabrication experience. Our rental products consist of light towers, explosion-proof lighting, temporary power products, generators, and related equipment. This position will focus on the fabrication, repair, and modification of equipment and components in a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fabrication work on rental equipment, frames, brackets, supports, and other metal components.
- Fabricate, assemble, fit, and repair metal components according to drawings, measurements, specifications, and work instructions.
- Perform MIG welding as required; TIG and/or stick welding may be performed based on project needs and experience.
- Cut, grind, drill, fit, and prepare metal components using common fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for proper fit, appearance, strength, and overall quality.
- Identify damaged or worn components and complete welding and fabrication repairs as needed.
- Accurately measure and lay out materials using tape measures, squares, levels, and other measuring tools.
- Perform basic inspection and maintenance of welding machines and related equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Must have the ability to perform tasks that include heavy lifting, loading and unloading, carrying, bending, reaching, and pulling.
- Adhere to all company quality standards and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on welding and/or metal fabrication experience.
- Proficiency in MIG welding; experience with TIG and/or stick welding is a plus.
- Experience with metal fabrication, fitting, cutting, grinding, and material preparation.
- Ability to read and interpret basic fabrication drawings, blueprints, measurements, and welding symbols.
- Familiarity with welding equipment, fabrication tools, and common hand and power tools.
- Ability to accurately use tape measures and other measuring tools.
- Ability to produce consistent, quality welds and identify basic weld defects.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physically able to lift and move heavy objects as necessary.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently without direct supervision.
Requirements:
- 3 years of welding and/or metal fabrication experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work in a positive, team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to successfully complete a practical weld test as required for the position.
- Valid Driver’s License.
