Workplace Type: On-Site - Franklin, PA
We are seeking a Cost Accountant for a client, to support financial operations within a manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with the Plant Controller and focuses on cost accounting, inventory accuracy, gross margin analysis, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end financial reports
- Support budgeting and financial planning activities
- Analyze actual costs versus budget and investigate variances
- Maintain and improve cost accounting controls and procedures
- Perform inventory reporting, cycle counts, and physical inventory audits
- Reconcile general ledger accounts related to sales, inventory, costs, and liabilities
- Conduct gross margin analysis and provide management reporting
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Support additional accounting and finance projects as needed
Desired Education, Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Manufacturing accounting experience required
- Experience with ERP systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
