Job Title: Project Manager – Solar Tracking SystemsJob Description

This role leads groups of solar tracking system projects from purchase order through commissioning and closeout, ensuring technical excellence, financial performance, and outstanding customer experience. You will manage project scope and costs, analyze data related to parts and sites, support field installation and quality control, and collaborate with product development, sales, and marketing to deliver high-performing photovoltaic (PV) plants.

Responsibilities
  • Run multiple projects concurrently from purchase order to commissioning, taking full ownership of scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Review and interpret contracts to understand project requirements, obligations, and cost implications.
  • Perform cost scoping and data analysis, including determining which part numbers are assigned to specific site numbers and ensuring accurate project documentation.
  • Manage project profit and loss (P&L), including revenue forecasting, invoicing, cashflow, and cost management to achieve financial targets.
  • Develop and maintain a strong technical understanding of solar tracking systems and associated tools to support effective project execution.
  • Provide customer field support for installation and quality control, ensuring issues are documented and resolved through Non-Conformance Report and Construction Deviation Report processes.
  • Drive resolution of quality issues by coordinating with internal teams and customers and maintaining clear records of non-conformances and deviations.
  • Support product development, sales, and marketing activities as requested, offering project-based insights and technical feedback.
  • Coordinate the ordering of tools and equipment for projects and ensure their availability at sites, including arranging necessary training for project teams.
  • Ensure a high level of customer care by communicating clearly, managing expectations, and providing effective resolutions to customer issues.
  • Oversee the safety and daily project workflow of Technical Advisers and Commissioning Teams assigned to project sites.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to manage change orders and project adjustments while maintaining control over scope and budget.
  • Monitor project progress using data monitoring and analysis services to optimize PV plant performance and support sustainability goals.
Essential Skills
  • 3–7 years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably in construction or renewable energy projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience in construction environments and familiarity with construction workflows and change order processes.
  • Technical understanding or experience with solar projects, particularly solar tracking systems and PV plant performance.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a proven ability to handle customer support and operations and maintenance (O&M) issues.
  • Experience in supply chain procurement and logistics, including ordering tools and coordinating delivery to project sites.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities, including the ability to interpret part numbers, site numbers, and project-related data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers, internal teams, and external partners.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Formal project management qualifications or certifications are a plus.
  • Experience supporting product development, sales, and marketing teams with technical and project insights.
  • Ability to work creatively and collaboratively as part of diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Interest in sustainability and climate change mitigation, aligned with a mission-driven focus on smart solar and software solutions.
Work Environment

This position is based in an office environment in Nashville, TN. You will work closely with global teams focused on transforming PV plant performance through smart technology, data monitoring, and analysis services. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $55.29/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
