Position Description: The Project Manager will ensure accurate, complete and timely communication of information to and from clients and staff. Will be responsible for managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment including the preparation of plans, reports, schedules, and budgets. Tasked with ensuring the preparation of accurate and complete work products by monitoring the document delivery process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management, planning, scheduling, and budgeting of multiple utility engineering projects and personnel.
  • Providing technical oversight to staff, ensuring that project schedules and budgets are met,
  • Manage project objectives by collaborating with utility client and personnel, and developing project proposals.
  • Organize the project team by assembling, communicating with, and directing team members, assigning responsibilities, and negotiating and contracting with approved subconsultants.
  • Control project by directing and approving changes in design, specification, budget, and schedule consistent with project objectives.
  • Provides direction and training to fellow personnel, including assignment of responsibilities and tasks.
  • Approve quality of work by analyzing design, client requirements, and performance standards and provide needed feedback regarding accuracy, completeness and value.
  • Resolve project-related technical problems and personnel issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related field,
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of CA preferred but not required,
  • 3+ years’ experience in managing engineering related projects,
  • 7+ years of engineering design experience, specializing in Civil Engineering,
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D,
  • Preparing proposals as well as maintaining projects deadlines and budget,
  • Excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills pertaining to pipeline terminology,
  • Ability to multitask and work on several projects concurrently.
