The Material Control Operator accurately tracks and manages raw material inventory across multiple branch locations in a fast-paced aerospace environment. This role combines hands-on material handling with detailed inventory control, data entry, and coordination with production and quality teams to ensure materials are received, stored, moved, and documented correctly.

Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a large raw material supplier facility where metal materials are stored, cut, and shipped to customers in the aerospace industry. The floor environment is fast-paced, with more than 60 employees working across multiple areas and buildings. Work involves frequent operation of forklifts, order pickers, side-loaders, and other material handling equipment, as well as regular use of computers for inventory data entry and tools such as tape measures and calipers for material inspection. The role is warehouse-based and requires working on your feet, handling heavy raw materials, and moving between storage and processing areas.Multiple shifts are available. First shift typically runs Monday through Thursday from early morning to mid-afternoon. Second shift options include Monday through Friday mid-day to evening and Monday through Thursday afternoon to late night. Third shift runs Friday through Sunday with extended hours. Orientation takes place on a scheduled Monday morning and includes primarily classroom training during the first week, followed by pairing with an experienced trainer or operator until you are ready to work independently. Dress is appropriate for a warehouse and industrial environment, with an emphasis on safety and readiness to operate equipment and handle materials.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.50 - $24.50/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
