Registered Nurse (RN) – Cancer Center / Infusion

Location: New York, NY 10041
Department: Cancer Center – Infusion
Employment Type: Full-Time
Weekly Hours: 37.5 Hours/Week
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay package :

  • Travel: $3,600 to $3,700 per week
  • Local: $85 to $92 per hour
Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Cancer Center/Infusion to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion treatments.

The ideal candidate will have strong oncology infusion experience, excellent IV and phlebotomy skills, and the ability to monitor and support patients throughout their treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to oncology and infusion patients.
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other prescribed IV medications.
  • Perform IV insertion, IV maintenance, and intravenous infusions.
  • Perform phlebotomy and collect blood specimens as required.
  • Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after infusion treatments.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately to complications.
  • Follow established chemotherapy, immunotherapy, medication administration, and patient-safety protocols.
  • Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care.
  • Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, medications, and responses.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary oncology care teams.
  • Maintain compliance with nursing standards, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Current New York State RN License.
  • AHA BLS certification.
  • RN license and credentials subject to Primary Source Verification.
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical Chemotherapy Infusion experience.
  • Strong experience with IV insertion and phlebotomy.
  • Experience with IV infusion and IV maintenance.
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Certification – Required.
