Position Summary

This is a key full-time position withPartners for Rural Impact.Reporting to theProgram Manager,theStudent SuccessNavigator (SSN)will provide and integrate programming within their neighborhood school and will serve as theprimary liaison with allcommunity partners; ensure partners are trained, understand their role,and implement according to their role. In addition, theSSNwill work to connect students to afull continuum ofsupportsand services including health and wellness, safety, arts andhumanities,and college and career planning services.SSNwill work to ensure the successfulintegration of all school,communityand PromiseNeighborhood student services and as suchwill lead a school-level partnership council.This is a year-round role.TheStudent Success Navigatorwill work to achieve theresultthatAllRural Students Succeed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the Promise Neighborhood results and objectives

• Work withAcademicInterventionists to meet the wraparound needs of their caseload ofstudents

• Work withAcademicInterventionists and schools to support student achievement towardPNtarget andresults

• Ensure thatrequireddocumentation and records of services are collected and filed appropriately

• Collaborate with other members of thePNteam to ensure the effective delivery of services along thePNpipeline

• Provide leadership while working collaboratively with the school principal to implement the comprehensive program plan

• Assess needs of students, families, and school and evaluate the impact of thePNprogram on these groups as well as continuallymodifyservices to best meet needs

• Serve as liaison with allgrantpartners serving the school and ensure partners are trained, understand their role, and implement according to their role

• Communicate the PNmission and vision to community, parents, staff, and students

• Participate in school committees and lead school-level Partnership Council

• Plan and implement events and services related to arts and humanities, wellness and safety, college and career exploration, and academic enrichment

Position Location & Schedule

TheStudent Success Navigatorwill belocated primarily in Cowan Elementary Schoolwith local, state,and sometimesnational travelrequired.

This position isdesignatedas an onsite position and requires work to be performed at the assigned work location during Partners for Rural Impact’s (PRI) regular business hours.The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm ET.This position may occasionally require work during the early morning, evening, or weekend hours to support events, training, meetings, and business or program needs.

This is a 12-month, year-round position.Employees in this role follow PRI’s work schedule and holiday calendar and are expected to work during periods when the assigned school district is not in session, unless otherwise approved.Regular, reliable onsite attendance is an essential function of this position.Remote or hybrid work is not a standard arrangement for this role.

Infrequent travel may berequiredto support business and program operations, including meetings,trainings, conferences, and other organizational events.Travel may be local, regional, or national and may include occasional overnight stays, depending on business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Education required to ensure success in this position:

• Associate’sDegree inhuman servicesorrelated fieldand three years of experiencerequired

Experience required to ensure success in this position:

• Community engagement experience

• Evidence of effectively coordinating with rural schools and rural communities

Special skills,knowledgeand abilities:

• Skills and knowledge of coordinating a multi-facetedprogram

• Understanding of first-generation, low-income youth

• Experience working in rural schools and communities.

• Understanding of Promise Neighborhood

• Understanding offirst-generation, low-income youth and families

• A desire to develop innovative approaches to meet outcomes

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines and expectations

• Event planning experience

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• A commitment to students from diverse economic,socialand cultural backgrounds

• Computer skills including data processing andfinancial spreadsheets; Microsoft Office, Adobe

License, certification, or registration necessary:

• Must have access to reliable transportation

• Successfully complete pre-employment background check

Physical requirements:

• Ability to work within ahigh-energyoffice

• Ability totravel toeastern Kentucky, statewide sites, and nationally

Environmental conditions:

• Routine school environment with interruptions and noise due to frequent visitors, staff, and faculty
