Job Title: Sprayer / Painter – Wellness Furniture Manufacturing

Job Description

Join a manufacturing team that builds high-quality tables and beds for the wellness industry, including products used in medical offices, hospitals, beauty parlors, and other health and wellness settings. In this role, you will handle spray finishing, painting, and related production tasks from start to finish, ensuring each product meets strict quality standards while supporting a clean, efficient, and team-focused work environment.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the department team to meet production goals and quality objectives.
• Report to work as scheduled and on time, maintaining regular and punctual attendance.
• Recommend methods to improve quality, efficiency, and overall department performance.
• Keep your work area neat, organized, and safe at all times.
• Identify, separate, and report nonconforming products to the supervisor for further action.
• Maintain personal productivity levels that meet or exceed departmental demands.
• Spray all required parts for manufacturing, including the ability to mix custom stains to specification.
• Operate spray guns and maintain them throughout the day to ensure an even, consistent coat of paint or finish.
• Perform paint and finish touch-up work as needed to meet final quality standards.
• Communicate with the mill or upstream departments regarding parts needed for production.
• Set up and operate the hot stamp machine as part of the finishing process.
• Perform required preventive maintenance on spray equipment, hot stamp machines, and related tools.
• Conduct final quality inspections on products before forwarding them to the next department.
• Apply troubleshooting and mechanical skills to resolve process variables and maintain consistent finish quality.
• Monitor stock levels of parts and supplies, and submit order requests to the warehouse when needed.
• Maintain accurate lot control of parts inventory related to the finishing process.
• Follow all company rules, policies, and procedures, including safety, quality, and department-specific guidelines.
• Protect proprietary and confidential company information at all times.
• Demonstrate professional behavior, integrity, a strong work ethic, and adherence to high standards.
• Follow verbal and written work instructions accurately and consistently.
• Show willingness to learn new skills and improve existing skills in a continuous improvement environment.
• Work cooperatively and respectfully with others in a team-based production environment.

Essential Skills

• Experience with spray painting and sprayer operation in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively; experience with air tools is a plus.
• Proficiency in using a spray gun, including setup, operation, and cleaning.
• Ability to perform paint preparation, including mixing custom stains and preparing surfaces for finishing.
• Competence in using a tape measure and basic measurement tools for accurate work.
• Troubleshooting skills and strong mechanical aptitude to adjust for process variables and maintain consistent results.
• Ability to interpret detailed schematics or drawings; blueprint reading experience is ideal.
• Capability to follow detailed verbal and written work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in all finishing and inspection tasks.
• Reliability in maintaining regular, punctual attendance and meeting production expectations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Freedom, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
