Patients with neurological diagnosis including but not limited to: CVA, TIA, TBI, S/P Neuro-Surgery, Altered Mental Status
Meningitis
New onset Seizures
Hypertensive Crisis
Chest Pain, CHF
Sepsis Hemodynamically Stable
Alcohol Withdrawal
Pre and Post Cardiac Cath Lab procedural patients (***HVU***)
Post op CV surgery patients when hemodynamically stable (***HVU***)
Unstable angina, suspected MI (NSTEMI & STEMI). (***HVU***)
Chest pain rule out patients (***HVU***)
Chest pain with acute EKG changes and or elevated troponin. (***HVU***)
Patients with acute cardiac dysrhythmias requiring IV/PO medication management Hypertensive Urgency
Mild-Moderate congestive heart failure; with elevated BNP, and/or pulmonary edema on chest x-ray without shock
Respiratory distress patients with documented Sp02 88% or below on room air requiring Venti mask, BiPAP or CPAP
Post-op Femoropopliteal bypass, peripheral stents, post aortograms
Post-op CEA
Pulmonary Embolus requiring Heparin Drip
Patients meeting PACU discharge criteria
Vital Signs: HR 50-150 o BP > 90 mmHg and < 180 mmHg Systolic
Dyspnea with respiratory rate < *** breaths/min or > 10 breaths/min.
Oxygen Saturation greater than 90 Patients receiving the following Intravenous drips:
Agatroban o
Agrastat/Integrelin/ReoPro o Amiodarone o Cardene o Cardizem o Dobutamine (Renal/Heart failure dose) o Dopamine (Renal/Heart failure dose) o Heparin o Lasix o Morphine or Ativan for palliative care o Nitroglycerin o Primacor o Sodium Bicarbonate
